One of my favourite parts of the day to capture is the bridal preparations, and Highley Manor has a dedicated getting ready room that’s perfect for this. The light in here is beautiful for filming — bright and airy, with plenty of space for hair, makeup, and those emotional first looks with bridesmaids or parents.

The honeymoon suite doubles up perfectly as a groom’s getting ready room too, giving you the option to film both sides of the morning. For guests staying overnight, the manor also offers multiple elegant bedrooms, which makes it easy for everyone to be close by.

Ceremony Spaces

Highley Manor gives couples the choice between indoor ceremonies in the manor itself or outdoor ceremonies under a beautiful wooden shelter. Both options work wonderfully for video:

• Indoors, you get the elegance of chandeliers and historic detailing.

• Outdoors, you have an incredible open view across the Downs — a picture-perfect setting for saying your vows.

Best Spots for Wedding Videography at Highley Manor

Over the course of the day, there are plenty of places around the venue that are perfect for filming natural, candid wedding videos:

• In front of the manor house – a classic shot that really shows off the grandeur of the venue.

• On the hill at sunset – one of the most magical spots for couple shots, with golden light pouring across the Sussex countryside.

• By the outdoor ceremony shelter – framed beautifully against the views beyond.

• The woodland hideaway – tucked away with fairy lights and a rustic bench, it’s a romantic, intimate space that adds variety to your film.

• The secluded courtyard – ideal for private first looks before the ceremony.
